I didn't know what to do, so I created a random kit of smileys that might help you if you want to say something to someone who can't read or don't speak your language. Today my father asked me to create a logo for a thing called "Föreningen För Fest" or FFF which means like "The Party Group". He is a teacher and Föreningen För Fest is a group of teachers on his school that are responsible for all the teacher parties.

Anyhow, I said, I'll do it and from the beginning i was fascinated over the three F's. So here is what I come up with.
I haven't finished the text based part of it yet but I'm not sure how important that part is, because it is an inhouse target group only, so maybe I'll just stick with only this one, a trumpet based on three F's.

A Letter comunicates better than you think.

Another logodesign tip. Try to make a letter in the word/brand you are working with a look like what it the word means. I did these four examples on a short train trip yesterday. I promise you, it's easy.

If you think you have a too childish logo, you can always make it plain black on white to make it more serious. An d if you have a logo that looks to agressive you can always fill it with colors to make it a bit "kinder" What I really want to say is, -"The color of a logo could be more important then you think". Think about that. Like I did when I created this Mannaminne logo.

A good thing to think of when making typographic logos or any kind of logo is to see if you can make the letters in the word form some kind of object.
